    We are looking for a few individuals who take online safety seriously to join Vaco's client as Safety Support Associates. If you have experience evaluating phishing and financial scams, this could be the role for you

    To be successful, you'll need a high attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and a background in website development or network troubleshooting. Also, know that you may be personally exposed to explicit, disturbing, or troubling content.

    This is a 100% remote role, and qualified candidates should be located in the United States. C2C is not accepted.

    Responsibilities

    • Handle a substantial influx of responsive inquiries regarding potentially harmful content (e.g., phishing, cryptocurrency, and financial scams).
    • Establish criteria for the assessment and categorization of harmful content to enhance proactive measures and tooling.
    • Thoroughly document assessments of suspicious activities, generating comprehensive reports, and implement appropriate actions in accordance with operational protocols.
    • Engage with partners and clients to resolve issues effectively, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
    • Apply critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and innovative problem-solving skills when addressing intricate safety issues.
    • Contribute to enhancement efforts by scrutinizing reports, shaping policy evolution, and executing projects to refine existing procedures.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in content review, particularly in the realm of financial scams, preferably within a Trust & Safety team or a comparable environment.
    • At least 1 year of experience in a technical capacity, such as frontend engineering or cybersecurity, with proficiency in code evaluation and utilization of developer tools.
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Comfortable with remote, asynchronous work environments to tackle complex and sensitive challenges.
    • Demonstrated capability to assess situations logically, document reasoning comprehensively, and resolve ambiguous challenges independently or collaboratively.
    • Ability to handle delicate matters with discretion and tact.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Notion, Twilio, and/or Sift.
    • Background in customer support or crisis management.
    • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, ChatGPT, cryptocurrency, blockchain, and the metaverse.
