Censys maintains the highest fidelity map of Internet infrastructure in the security industry, used by sophisticated threat hunting and exposure management teams in the financial, critical infrastructure, and other commercial sectors as well as by researchers, government, intelligence, law enforcement, and military users.

This Role:

As a Threat Analyst, you will conduct research and perform technical analysis to support the mission of the US Government Intelligence Community and Defense Agencies. This role directly supports client-driven data analysis and finished intelligence reporting on technical topics (i.e. tracking emerging threats, assessing nation-state capabilities, tracking malicious infrastructure, and identifying new TTPs). Previous security and cyber threat intelligence experience is required.

What you'll do:

Conduct security research across technical data sets to respond to customer requests
Produce finished intelligence reports and support intelligence briefings
Support other security researchers and data scientists who require cyber threat acumen to influence their data analysis and threat modeling needs
Develop signatures to identify and track malicious or vulnerable Internet infrastructure
Stay on top of developments within the cyber threat landscape and track key developments across classified and OSINT sources
Work with Product and Engineering teams to ensure that Censys collects data to support analytical research needs

What you'll bring:

TS/SCI Clearance + Full Scope Poly or CI Poly
3+ years of experience in Information Security and/or Threat Intelligence
Strong technical background in computer security, including experience conducting threat analysis research
Experience with internet scanning tools like Censys
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g., DNS, BGP, TCP/IP)
Familiarity with analytic tradecraft, intelligence analysis, and writing techniques and methodologies
Proficiency in conducting data analysis using SQL and Python
Excellent written and verbal communication; unwavering attention to detail and ability to convey complex technical and non-technical concepts

What will set you apart):

MA/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field
Knowledge of open source intelligence gathering tools and techniques

Our target salary range for this role is between $170,000 and $210,000 with bonus eligibility and equity.
