    Your expertise will be valued as you actively participate in rounds, respond to codes, and serve as the go-to subject matter expert for pharmacy in the ED.

    Responsibilities:


    As an Emergency Department Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in the decentralized function within the Emergency Department (ED).

    You will collaborate closely with ED physicians and nurses to ensure the delivery of optimal patient care.


    Your responsibilities will include:

    Active Participation in Rounds:

    Attend and actively participate in rounds with ED healthcare professionals to contribute valuable insights and remendations related to medication therapy.


    Code Response:
    Be a key member of the code response team, ensuring prompt and effective intervention in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in managing medication-related aspects during critical events.

    Subject Matter Expertise:

    Serve as the subject matter expert for pharmacy within the ED, providing guidance on medication selection, dosing, and monitoring.

    Stay abreast of the latest advancements in emergency medicine and pharmacy practice.

    Collaboration:

    Foster effective munication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, to optimize patient outes.


    Medication Safety:

    Implement and uphold rigorous medication safety protocols to minimize the risk of errors and enhance patient safety within the ED.


    Education and Training:
    Provide education and training to ED staff on new medications, guidelines, and best practices. Stay involved in continuous learning and share knowledge with the team.


    Qualifications:

    • Active California Pharmacist License
    • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
    D.) degree

    • Emergency Department or critical care pharmacy experience preferred
    • Strong munication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, highpressure environment
