    Description
    Technical Support Manager
    Contract to Hire
    Provo, Utah Metro area
    Target Pay $80,000+ / year base salary

    Job Summary:
    This role is for someone who enjoys working for smaller company environments
    Where you will be managing,/supervising a team of 3, and sometimes jumping in and doing the technical support yourself when the workload spikes: PC's, laptops, deskside/desktop support, network connectivity issues, Active Directory, managing software licenses, Office 365 and software application issues
    While the company is small, they are also part of a larger international company and will have to work directly with their technology teams and frequent leadership groups.

    Work is onsite 5 days a week at their facility
    While this is a product manufacturing company, professional dress attire is still required in the offices as well as out on the production/manufacturing floor.

    Required Skills:
    • 7+ years of detailed and onsite technical support in an office/production environment
    • 3+ years of supervisory / management experience over networking and/or software support groups
    • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting PC's, Laptops, and networked devices including printers, copy/scanners, servers (they have both on-prem and cloud servers), and other peripheral devices
    • Experience applying patches, updates, and custom configurations for user computers
    • Active Directory experience setting up all user profiles, permissions, and other network accesses and to peripherals
    • Experience with user access controls, data backups, antivirus and malware troubleshooting/repair
    • Experience working with routers, switches, and firewalls
      While they have someone on staff to escalate a router issue, you should have basic experience troubleshooting the I/O to and from the router for network connectivity
    • Some formal college education on networking such as advanced classes through technical schools, college courses, or formal/continual training courses offered by previous employers


    Bonus / Soft Skills:
    • Must be very communicative to all levels of the company
    • Be very comfortable working with any user at all levels (production floor all the way up to the General Manager)
