- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for healthcare providers
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect and update patient demographic data
- Assist with patient registration and check-in process
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate patient care
- Handle and resolve patient complaints or concerns
- Manage and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
- Process patient payments and provide accurate billing information
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
- Proven experience as a Patient Service Representative or in a similar customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and empathetic attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or customer service is a plus
