    Experienced Per Diem OB/GYN Physician Needed at Legacy Community Health

    About the Position

    We seek a skilled OB/GYN Physician to join our Fifth Ward Lyons Clinic team as part of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Program.

    The selected candidate will provide medical care in a medically underserved community, treating women during evaluation, treatment, and management.

    This includes providing medical care relating to pregnancy and childbirth, as well as diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention for women, particularly those related to the reproductive system.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide medical care to women, including prenatal care, delivery, and postpartum care
    • Treat conditions affecting the female reproductive system, such as infertility, menstrual disorders, and cancers
    • Perform routine check-ups, screenings, and vaccinations
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
    • Participate in clinical or operations-related meetings as required

    Requirements

    • Medical Doctorate degree from an accredited institution
    • Current Texas licensure to practice medicine
    • Completion of ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency or clinical fellowship in OB/GYN
    • Certification in OB/GYN by the ABOG or AOBOG
    • Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting, preferably in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
    • Spanish language proficiency, preferred
