- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
- Four (4) years of office administrative (or similar) experience with two (2) years in a legal or public sector setting.
- Prior experience in a legal work environment.
- This is a part-time year-round position where you can be scheduled up to 24 hours a week.
- Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) retirement contributions paid by employerfor part-time, year-round positions.
- Paid sick leave - one (1) hour accrued for every 30 hours worked.

- Performs difficult and responsible legal administrative and clerical duties.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, forms, documents, and procedures.
- Prepares and distributes resolutions and ordinances and other legal documents; composes correspondence, memoranda, and other actions.
- Administers the Victim's Program in relation to Municipal Court prosecution.
- Provided discovery to criminal defendants and defense attorneys.
- Answers telephones, receives, and routes mail, maintains office supplies and provides customer service, such as responding to citizen questions, concerns, complaints, etc.
- Engages in electronic and physical case management for criminal prosecution and other matters.
- Assists with annual budget preparation, monitors expenditures, and prepares payroll reports.
- The scope of the assigned area of responsibility will depend on departmental structure and is at the discretion of the City Attorney.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
