- Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect medical equipment and instrumentation, including life support equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems.
- Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.
- Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Review outcome of preventive maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements.
- May assist senior biomedical engineering technicians or supervisor with in-service educational programs on use of equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Vocational / Technical trade school and/or equivalent work/military experience in electronics, electrical/biomedical engineering or related field, preferred
- 2 year / Associate Degree in electronics technology or equivalent, preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience in Biomedical Engineering field with related hospital experience as a Biomedical Technologist, required
- NYS Driver's License
- CBET certification and/or OEM verification on Ventilators, Defibrillator, Telemetry and other Critical care equipment, preferred

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
