Our client is a major brand investment and acquisition company looking to add a Licensing Accounting Manager - Revenue Recognition to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$140k + Bonus + Equity

Position Overview:

As a Licensing Accounting Manager - Revenue Recognition, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing strategic insights to contribute to the company's financial success.

Responsibilities of the Licensing Accounting Manager - Revenue Recognition:

• Responsible for various aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial statements, reconciliations, and other relevant reports.
• Manage and maintain the company's general ledger, ensuring proper coding and classification of transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Sales, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including sales tax, income tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, facilitating the annual audit process and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
• Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with strategic objectives.

• Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA designation is preferred.
