    Job Description
    Facility minutes from Buffalo, New York is seeking a part-time adult psychiatrist for outpatient work at an outpatient community mental health center. This position offers excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits. The location provides easy access to great restaurants and the heart of Buffalo.

    Duties include:
    • Supervises and provides clinical direction to clinical staff including Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Case Managers, RNs, LPNs, and Medical Assistants.
    • Assesses psycho-social health status through medical history and physical and psychiatric examinations.
    • Orders and interprets laboratory tests.
    • Triage, diagnose, and treat illness and behavioral health conditions within the specialty area of practice.
    • Functions as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Primary Care Providers and Dental Providers.
    • Collaborates with other team members to develop and implement optimal care plans.
    • Performs therapeutic and corrective measures, including prescribing medication and providing preventive health maintenance and education.
    • Teaches and counsels patients, families, and groups.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide clinical leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams.
    • Conduct thorough medical histories, physical, and psychiatric examinations.
    • Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostics.
    • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions and illnesses.
    • Collaborate with primary care providers and dental providers to deliver comprehensive care.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
