Position Title Adjunct Faculty-Protective Services

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week

Summary of Position

This is a part-time teaching position which also aides the Department Chair.

The incumbent will teach Lecture courses, however will also assist with decisions on materials, courses, student issues, and administrative support.

This job is key to the success of the department, as well as CTC .

Minimum Required Education

Master's Degree in Criminal Justice with minimum of 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice Required.

Minimum Required Experience

Five years of work experience in Criminal Justice (exclusive of teaching) required. Prior Teaching Experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate instructional materials and deliver classroom instruction or via the Internet; Knowledge of Texas Criminal Laws, Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Family Code, etc., as well as Police, Courts and Corrections Procedures, Chapter 1702 Texas Occupations Code/current Administrative Rules;
Must learn or be knowledgeable of Blackboard and Web Advisor Software for instructional purposes;
Familiarity with Internet research, web browsers, E-mails messaging, and other links pertaining to Criminal Justice;
Must be able to teach traditional (face-to-face) and multi-media classes;
Must be able to teach night and weekend courses
