    Description
    2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 1:30p - 12:00a
    Electrician (2nd Shift)
    Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operations electrical control equipment and circuitry.

    Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.

    Calculate bending radius and install ridged conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots and conveyors. Calculate power factor for transformers, motors, electrical heaters, wire sizes, and fuse sizes using OHM Law formulas.

    • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
    • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.
    • Plans and executes layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, cable trays, and armored cables according to electrical schematic, wiring diagram, and mechanical drawings.
    • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.


    Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in Electrical/Electronics, holder of Journeyman Electrician Card, Electricians License; and/or three to six years job related experience with electronic equipment and troubleshooting.


    • Must be able to use a wide variety of hand tools and computerized equipment.
    . Must have experience using various electronic test equipment.

    • PLC and or microprocessor knowledge is helpful
    Knowledge of installation, operation and repair of compressed air equipment is preferred or other industrial equipment.

    • Knowledgeable of electrical test equipment such as VOM, MAGA, variable voltage meters, oscilloscope, simulators and test jigs.
    . Must be able to read electrical blueprints
    . Ability to bend conduit and experience pulling wires and building electrical boxes.

    • Basic PC skills, including experience using MS Word, Excel or equivalent.
