Description
Speech & Language PathologistUnder the supervision of the Director of Therapy Relief at Hope, the Speech & Language Pathologist provides and oversees speech/language therapy treatments in a variety of environments to assist clients to attain, improve, or maintain their maximum level of functional movement.
SLP Essential Duties:
Assess individuals' communication skills and implement speech and language treatment based on established goals, in individual or group settings.
Serve, communicate, and consult as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Maintain detailed records and compile written progress reports and treatment plans as needed.
Evaluate need and type of augmentative communication devices and provide guidance and training to parents/guardians, teachers, and/or caretakers on the use of needed devices.
Participate in ongoing treatment meetings, as well as staff meetings and professional development opportunities.Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from approved school of hearing and speech-language pathologyIllinois license in audiology or speech-language pathology.
Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software applications.
