    Senior Environmental Engineer Job Description:
    Wood is looking for a dynamic

    Senior Environmental Engineer

    to enrich our consulting team in the vibrant city of Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

    Manage and maintain the project consent budget, risk register, and schedule.

    Represent Wood on project and program management aspects of our delivery.

    Actively promote and demonstrate a strong safety culture in project design and working environment.

    Lead & organize multi-disciplinary teams.

    Interface with the wider project stakeholders including engineering teams, planners, consultation leads, and lawyers, as may be applicable.

    Lead on client project communications & enhance client relationships through exceptional communication and active listening skills.


    Support our Sales and Growth teams to develop relationships with existing customers in the sector, identify new opportunities and build relationships with new clients.

    Responsible for compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

    Ensures quality and effectiveness of key results of major projects within function through sound design, early risk assessments, and implementation of fallback strategies.

    Understands the business needs and has a thorough knowledge of the customer when developing a project scope.

    Contributes to the development of project management best practices. Directs and manages Project Execution by performing the work defined in the project plan to achieve project objectives.

    Defines roles and responsibilities. Monitors and controls project work to meet the performance objectives defined in the project plan. Focuses on cost and milestone achievement to optimize resource utilization.

    Reviews change requests, manages and approves changes to the deliverables, organizational process assets, project documents, and the project plan.


    Closes the project by finalizing all activities across all the Project Management Process Groups to formally complete the project or phase.

    Creates or coordinates the solutions for complex problems; integrates regulatory and operational needs; performs cost/benefit analysis.

    Resolves problems and crisis situations requiring fast, astute decisions with rapid implementation by utilizing technical training and/or experience.

    Mentors others by sharing knowledge and expertise and providing feedback and guidance. Establishes relationships and good communication channels with clients; documents agreements and commitments. Acts as a trusted advisor.

    Balances bottom line objectives of a project with the long-term interest of customer.


    Requirements:
    Bachelors/master's in engineering, environmental science, environmental planning, or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area

    10+ years of professional experience, preferably with an environmental consulting organization

    Consulting Experience

    Experience in Developing and writing EIA, ESIA in accordance with IFC, World Bank, IFI, Equator Principles Standards

    Chair ENVID Studies and carry out Environmental Due Diligence, ESG

    Knowledgeable in various ESIA topics (air quality, noise, soil & groundwater, ecology)

    Knowledge in ESIA process

    Knowledge in ESIA reporting/management and technical report writing

    Experience in Subcontractor management

    Experience in a very fast-paced international consultancy environment

    Strong team management experience - demonstrable experience in mentoring staff, whilst being a technical delivery manager/project manager

    Ability to work autonomously with limited to no supervision
