GFT is seeking a Transportation Construction Assistant (TA-1) to join our Construction Services Team in Ebensburg, PA Central and Western PA area This role follows a remote work schedule, where work is mostly done on-site.

What you'll be challenged to do:
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Transportation Construction Assistgant (TA-1) who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Support construction and inspection teams to assure that contractors build a quality construction project.
Support team with assigned duties to specific activities to assure plans, specifications, standards and Q.C. Plans are adhered to.
Comply with the District and project specific overtime requirements.
Support the Department Project Engineer/ Manager/ Supervisor or Consultant Manager/ Supervisor daily, or as required, to receive instructions and assignments.
Support the completion PSA's and work sheets daily.
Support Manager/ Supervisor for any instruction or assignment in the inspection of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with contract requirements and established standards.
Attend and Participate in daily huddles with field staff.
What you will bring to our firm:
- High School Diploma, GED or post-secondary education and has the ability to read, write, and communicate in English and do basic math computation for length, area, and volume
- ACI, NICET, and/or NECEPT certifications.
