    JOB OVERVIEW:

    The Financial Analyst, Corporate Reporting, is responsible for ensuring that accounting transactions are properly recorded in financial statements. This includes the preparation of account reconciliations (receivables, due to/due from) and monthly financial reporting to external contacts at the Ruth's Chris managed locations. This individual tracks managed location and franchise activity, researches discrepancies, sends invoices and settlement requests monthly, and works directly with managed locations and franchisors to resolve issues timely. This role also contributes to ad hoc projects and adheres to a strong controls environment and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    -Review managed location P&Ls for completeness and accuracy

    -Review and correct any discrepancies as needed

    -Accurately and efficiently prepare journal entries, including managed location cash activity and contractual fees, franchise cash received and others with proper documentation in a timely manner

    -Reconcile cash accounts and receivables/payables for managed and franchise locations

    -Communicate with managed and franchise locations and prepare billings for appropriate reimbursements, including payroll, inventory and sales tax, incentive fees and revenue, including royalties, marketing, franchise, and area development fees

    -Request monthly funding settlements from managed locations

    -Create and develop standard processes for reconciling, tracking, and communicating with managed locations

    -Work with Revenue Accounting and other appropriate parties to understand the flow of direct bills including room charges and comps

    -Work with internal business partners in order to support business plan process and operational requests

    -Oversee account balances; research discrepancies and work directly with departments to resolve issues

    -Ensure compliance with accounting (including GAAP) requirements and contractual obligations

    -Support ad hoc requests, reports, and new projects

    -Work with Internal Audit and KPMG to provide deliverables by established timelines and to respond to and resolve any questions

    REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    -Minimum 2 years of accounting, finance or analytical experience, experience with general ledger reconciliations

    -Systems knowledge, including Oracle Financials, Discoverer and HFM is preferred

    -Exceptional organizational and planning skills

    -Self-directed, ability to work under limited supervision

    -Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

    -Proven experience prioritizing, planning and solving problems effectively

    -Ability to be flexible as processes continue to evolve

    -Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with managed locations, franchise partners, and other departments and external parties

    -Strong Excel knowledge with ability to work with large data files

    -Analytical and research ability

    -Proven leadership ability who can work well with others to promote positive team attitude

    -Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at any given time

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    -Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
