    Schnackel Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska

    If you are looking to put your engineering expertise and skills to use while simultaneously helping to revolutionize the MEP/FP/IT engineering industry, Schnackel Engineering is the place for you We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop electrical plans and specifications for architectural projects throughout North America using our new, groundbreaking software platform, AI for MEPTM.

    Your expertise and skills, coupled with our proprietary AI for MEPTM software, will result in some of the highest-quality, most accurate plans seen in the industry while being completed in a fraction of the time of traditional design.

    Help Shape the Future of

    Revolutionary Software:

    Your expert input and feedback will help shape the development and improvement of Schnackel Engineers' AI for MEPTM software.

    Becoming familiar with the codes that are applicable to the project.

    Using AutoCAD and other software to create electrical construction document packages which include plans including electrical distribution equipment, devices (receptacles, etc.), equipment connections, luminaires, controls, fire alarm initiating devices and notification appliances, all associated circuitry, appropriate schedules and details, one line / riser diagrams, and construction specifications.

    Coordinating with local utility companies to provide the required utility services to the project.
    Coordinating with equipment vendors and manufacturer's representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
    ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis or Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems.
    Five or more years of electrical design experience with an MEP/FP engineering consultant.
    In possession of Engineer-Intern (EI) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
    Advanced proficiency with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code).
    In possession of, or ability to obtain, Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
