We have 16 operating rooms and provide surgical care to patients with Anesthesiology, ENT, General, GYN, Neuro, Ortho, Urology, Cardiac, Radiology needs.

Responsibilities
The
Billing Specialist/ Patient Accounts Representative Billing Office
demonstrates the ability to process claims using multiple systems; organize and handle details with ease; ability to work under established guidelines; ability to set priorities; ability to meet deadlines; ability to communicate effectively with insurance representatives, co-workers, other hospital personnel and patients; answer telephones; research information; ability to update and input data into computer; exercise good independent judgment; ability to work under stress; ability to work with minimal supervision.
Billing Specialist/ Patient Accounts Representative Responsibilities :
Ensures accurate and timely billing and follow-up on insurance claims using insurance remittance advices, ledgers, outstanding claims report, email, fax, and phone inquiries.
Meets and surpasses productivity requirements including timely claim resolution, audits, and follow-up.Demonstrates initiative to resolve issues.
Understands how and when to prioritize tasks.
Maintains professional standards when interacting with patients, guarantors, and insurance representatives.
Maintains patient confidentiality, HIPAA standards.
Manages communication in a manner that decreases conflict.
Qualifications
Billing Specialist/
Patient Accounts Representative
Requirements:
CPC Certification preferred.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of ICD, CPT and HCPC codes and the ability to create claims and assess and resolve claim denials.
High school graduate.Previous hospital insurance and patient billing and collection experience required.
Understands medical insurance contracts, coverages, limitations, and bundled procedures.
Understands third party billing requirements.
Understands Workman's compensation and liability claims.
Uses analytical problem solving techniques to reconcile patient balances.
Makes decisions based on experience and knowledge.
Demonstrates accountability in actions and words.
Follows industry best practices as outlined.
Contributes to the growth and health of the department.
