    Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

    Location: San Diego, CA

    Salary: $130,000-$160,000 per year

    Work Schedule: Hybrid


    Job Requirements:

    • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Preferably possess a Registered Professional Engineer License.
    • 5-10 years of experience in the field.
    • Ability to lead electrical design projects and a team of engineers.
    • Proficiency in project management and using software like AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
    • Past experience with Federal facilities, Healthcare, and Higher Education projects.

    Responsibilities:

    Pre-Design Engineering

    • Conduct field surveys, gather data, and prepare site assessment reports.
    • Develop electrical schematic designs.

    Design Engineering

    • Create power single line and riser diagrams.
    • Perform various electrical calculations using ETAP/SKM.
    • Select lighting fixtures and power equipment.
    • Design lighting and power circuiting.
    • Coordinate lighting control systems.
    • Prepare fire alarm layouts based on codes.
    • Create plans, elevations, schedules, and details.
    • Ensure compliance with CAD/BIM standards.
    • Knowledge of California Electrical Code and Energy Standards.
    • Collaborate with different disciplines in the design team.
    • Edit project specifications.

    Project Management

    • Manage large projects with senior engineers and subconsultants.
    • Mentor design engineers.
    • Independently prepare client proposals.
    • Develop business with new and existing clients.

    Construction Administration

    • Review and address RFI's.
    • Inspect equipment submittals.
    • Conduct punch walks and prepare reports.
