    The Associate Product Manager is responsible for assisting the digital product manager with delivering digital experience for our members, providers, employers, staff, and other key stakeholders.

    This role serves as an extension of the product manager who will help to gather business and technical requirements and turn them into features and user stories.

    This role is critical in helping create the product backlogs to align with the health plan's vision and strategic objectives.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities


    Product Backlog Management:
    Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog.
    Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure alignment with overall product strategy.
    Create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria based on feedback from stakeholders.

    User Story Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Execution:
    Facilitate user story refinement and sizing activities.
    Participate in sprint planning sessions to define and prioritize user stories for development.
    Work with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements.
    Monitor sprint progress and address any impediments that may arise.

    Communication and Collaboration:
    Foster open communication and collaboration within the Agile team.
    Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring a shared understanding of product goals.
    Conduct regular status updates and participate in retrospective meetings to drive continuous improvement.

    Feature Development:
    Assist in the development of new product features and enhancements.
    Ensure that features meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
    Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create a seamless user experience.

    User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
    Coordinate and conduct UAT to validate that features meet user expectations.
    Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future product iterations.

    Market and Competitive Analysis:
    Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products.
    Provide insights and recommendations for product improvements and innovations.

    Qualifications


    Combination of training and experience or bachelor's degree, plus 2+ years of experience in a product-related role, preferably as a Product Owner or Associate Product Owner.

    Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments.
    Knowledge of Business-Driven Development (BDD) principles.
    Familiarity with Gherkin language for writing executable specifications.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

    Preferred

    Front-end and back-end systems for both web and mobile
    Experience with CRM software such as Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce

    Working Conditions

    Hybrid work setting that requires an onsite presence to the office in Somerville, MA about once per month
