    As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM's clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs.

    You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

    Your Role and Responsibilities

    • Work in an agile environment to onboard SaaS solutions for the customer, with a specialized focus on deployment of the SaaS solution within the VA's infrastructure.
    • Conduct high level analysis of various security documentation and architecture in order to document in an implementation diagram, determining what requirements will be needed for a successful deployment.
    • Conduct high level analysis of various security documentation and architecture in order to document the transfer and storage of customer data for implementation in an Memorandum Of Understanding Interconnections Security Agreement.
    • Conduct high level analysis of various security documentation and architecture in order to facilitate the Single Sign-On integration within the VA's infrastructure.
    • Conduct high level analysis of various security documentation and architecture of all other related deployment components, such as hardware, thin client software and mobile applications in order to align with customer requirements.
    • Communicate effectively and coordinate with stakeholders and project team members on all deployment requirements and maintain project timelines.
    • Experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

    • RMF, FedRAMP, eMASS, Con Mon. Bachelor's Degree in information systems, Computer Science or related field required, OR 4 years of demonstrated work experience in the specific field.
    • Must have at least 5 plus years of related cyber security experience, preferably for a Federal or government agency and 3 years of hands-on experience working cloud-based systems (SaaS and/or PaaS) through the FedRAMP authorization process (RMF Steps 1-5, and ideally step 6 (Continuous Monitoring)).
    • Strong conceptual understanding of how and when to apply NIST SP Revision 5) security controls for information systems.
    • Working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for SaaS applications
    • Ability to read technical documentation and identify alignment and/or conflict with process requirements and policies. Ability to translate these findings into customer communications along with action-items to resolve potential issues.
    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

    • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and/or other federal organizations.
    • Experience reading and interpreting Service Level Agreements and Vendor Contract language.
    • At least a fundamental understanding of networking Ports, Protocols and Services.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
