    Job Description

    Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to join their team at Hotel Northland in Green Bay, WI.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction by performing various tasks related to room preparation and maintenance.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Clean and prepare guest rooms, public areas, and hallways to ensure they are clean, presentable, and attractive at all times.
    • Retail items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning carts with supplies, and maintain them in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
    • Clean windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways using ladders or stools when necessary.
    • Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls if applicable, wipe exposed pipes, clean mirrors, sinks, and walls in restrooms to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
    • Replace towels, soaps, and room amenities, restock literature, and ensure adequate supply for arriving guests.
    • Wash hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soil.
    • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, including using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dust and cobwebs.
    • Strip beds of all linen, remake them with fresh linens, and check bedspread, blankets, and bed pads for cleanliness.
    • Check closet for cleanliness, wipe door, handle, and overhead shelves, and restock guest room supplies like hangers, extra blankets, and pillows.
    • Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs., and lifting/moving heavy furniture to vacuum entire carpet area, including underneath furniture and hard-to-reach areas.
    • Inspect door and window locks to ensure they are working properly and immediately report any unsecured or unsafe situations to management for the safety of guests and employees.
    • Inspect room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and report any issues or deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper for prompt repair/resolution.
    • Maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times to protect and preserve hotel property.
    • Provide friendly, cheerful, and courteous service to guests at all times.
    • Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards is preferred.

    The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment. They should also have upper body strength to lift up to 50lbs. continually throughout an 8-hour shift and finger, hand, and upper body dexterity to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture during an 8-hour shift.
