    GSS MN Westbrook Ctr, located in Westbrook, MN, offers long term care, short term rehabilitation, and hospice care in a 32-bed facility.

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a part-time day shift Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools, and techniques in a healthcare environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors
    • Using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
    • Maintaining cleanliness and sterility in patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
    • Wearing proper protective equipment following guidelines
    • Keeping storage, equipment, and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy

    Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
    • Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful
    • Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals is helpful

    Salary Information

    The salary for this position is $11.25 - $17.00 per hour, based on years of applicable experience. Additional $1.25 per hour for weekend shift differential.
