Project Manager
Perform project management duties in support of multiple Government sponsored R&D activities which include acoustic analysis, software and algorithm design, development, test, demonstration, and deployment.
Work with agile development teams, Principle Investigators, Product Owners, and System Owners contributing to strategic discussions and help translate strategies and ideas into outcomes, actionable plans and results.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain current knowledge of ongoing R&D activities at
ARL:
UT and engage with various sponsors and fleet offices to identify areas for collaboration and aid in communication with
ARL:
UT.
Communicate with Navy offices on sonar data collection opportunities and provide test plan and data collection requirement inputs as needed.
Attend on-site and remote working meetings relevant to
ARL:
UT/ONR program areas - present material and/or provide reports to
ARL:
UT/ONR as needed.
Act as an
ARL:
UT point of contact and direct inquiries to relevant technical POCs as needed.
Preparation and review of analysis, planning, and other technical presentations and reports and presentation of those results to internal and external project stakeholders.
Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or related fields.
Five or more years of related experience.
Demonstrated ability and experience with Microsoft Office suite and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time.
The position requires the applicant to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with all groups of clients.
The position requires the applicant to routinely work under pressure, accept supervision, maintain regular and punctual attendance.U.S. Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in engineering, computer science, math, physics, engineering management or related fields.
Five or more years project management experience with Government sponsored technical/scientific R&D or system acquisitions.
Project Management Professional, Defense Acquisition University Project Management, or DoD branch specific project management or system acquisition certification.
Acoustic data analysis and USW operational or intelligence experience.
Demonstrated ability and experience with Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
Experience working with high level fleet and technical program representatives across multiple organizations.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
