The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Physician is responsible for providing direct clinical customer care and works with other clinical staff to establish medical protocols and treatment regimens.

Clinic Overview
Join an established pediatric endocrinology practice currently staffed by a pediatric endocrinologist, nurse/case manager/pediatric diabetes educator, case manager support staff, and certified medical assistants, with plans to expand. The practice is embedded in the Anchorage Native Primary Care Center Pediatric clinic with access to pediatric dietitians, behavioral health consultants, integrated pharmacists, in-house laboratory and radiology services, and community health resources support, as well as opportunities to collaborate with general pediatricians and pediatric specialists and easily transition to adult endocrinology and diabetes care. While this full-time position is based in Anchorage, it includes a vast telehealth network as well as opportunities to travel to field clinics throughout rural Alaska.
From a statewide referral network from pediatric and family medicine providers comes a diverse mix of pediatric endocrinology cases. In addition to outpatient clinic time, inpatient consultation services, and a shared call system, this position includes options for clinical research, quality improvement, and teaching medical students and family medicine and pediatric residents, as well as the potential for an academic appointment with the University of Washington.
Qualifications:
1. M.D. or D.O. degree required.
2. Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska.
3. Current American Board certification specialty appropriate for the service.
4. Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.

You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
