    About this role:

    This Advanced Practice Provider will join our nationally ranked pediatric program at Primary Children's Hospital. This APP will have primary responsibilities on the Inpatient Bone Marrow Transplant & Immunology Service.

    We treat children, adolescents, and young adults-ranging in age from newborn through mid-20s-with pediatric cancers, non-malignant blood disorders, and immunodeficiencies.

    Inpatient clinical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Assessment and evaluation of patients
    • New patient transplant and immunology consults
    • Development of care plans
    • Management of prescriptions
    • Management and ordering of chemotherapy and infusions
    • Coordination of home care needs
    • Patient and family education
    • Communication with consulting services
    • Coordination of patient follow-up
    • Completion of procedures (to include lumbar punctures, bone marrow aspirates and biopsies, skin biopsies, and bone marrow harvests)
    • Integration with the multi-disciplinary team to meet patient care needs as appropriate
    • Participation in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, or department research is also expected.
    Full time and fully benefits-eligible, the inpatient APP schedule does include weekdays, weekends, night coverage, and holiday coverage on a rotating basis.How we'll support you:

    What you'll bring:

    • Utah license as a Physician Assistant (PA) or an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
    • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
    • Utah State Controlled Substance License
    • Federal DEA Certificate II through V
    • PALS and BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
    • Prior clinical experience within pediatric hematology, oncology, BMT is highly preferred.
