    Description

    The MRI Technologist performs quality images per physician's orders while providing excellent care to patients.

    Part-time role, every other weekend, 8 am - 4:30 pm at our Edina & Burnsville locations.

    A $3,500 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for sign-on bonus.

    Essential Functions:
    • Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians' use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
    • Inform and prepare patients for procedures
    • Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
    • Prepare, clean, and stock work area with supplies
    • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair
    • Maintain the necessary precautions for exposure to the static magnetic field and non-ionizing radiation/radiofrequencies
    • Communicate implant safety concerns and expectations to care teams and patients to ensure patient is able to tolerate MRI exam comfortably
    • Any and all other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    * Graduate of an ARRT approved program
    * ARRT Certified in Magnetic Resonance or a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in a MRI department required

    • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
    • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
    • Work in the clinic during business hours
    • Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
    • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
    • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
    • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
    • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
    • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
    • Work independently with minimal supervision
    • Travel to other work locations, if required
