    About this position:

    Shifts available are day, night and rotating.

    The Patient Flow Coordinator and Shift Supervisor serves as a primary coordinator for managing daily patient throughput, ensuring the effective and efficient care of patients. The primary goals of this position are to improve hospital throughput of ED admits, Direct Admits, Surgical Admits, increase inpatient bed utilization and reduce patient or bed turnaround delays. Provides overall direction for and coordination of throughput throughout the assigned shift. Communicates continuously through the shift to ensure all hospital units and departments align with the plan and goal of timely patient movement. She/he will facilitate a centralized bed management process to ensure efficient admissions and transfers, optimize occupancy and avoid delays in service.

    What you will need:

    1. Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited school is required. Master's degree in nursing preferred.
    2. At least five years current experience in an acute care setting and demonstrated clinical and leadership ability.
    3. Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia.
    4. Current BLS CPR certification required.
