- Identify, record, adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
- Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.
- Uses independent judgment during the ultrasound to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
- Analyses sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information.
- Communicates finding through ultrasound worksheet.
- Equipment and Inventory Responsibility
- Proper ultrasound probe disinfecting.
- Exhibits knowledge and competency of equipment.
- Responsible for the control of inventory.
- Assumes responsibility for assigned area and reports malfunctions as applicable.
- Deliver an exceptional care experience for our patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
- Provides patient education.
- Utilizes EMR and RIS.
- Initiates basic life support when necessary.
- Performs other duties as requested.
- Participates in departmental or organizational meetings and trainings.
- Demonstrates ability to use equipment relevant to the position.
- Graduate of an approved (ARRT) school of Radiologic Technology and/or a Certified School of Ultrasound
- Previous Ultrasound Experience
- 2 years of experience
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certification Required.
- OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular certification preferred, but not required.

The ultrasound technologist is responsible for directing non-ionizing, high frequency waves into areas of the patient's body. The ultrasound technologist must demonstrate knowledge for interpretation of exams and ability to convey results to Radiologists and/or physicians. Ultrasound is a very operator dependent modality.
