The Optometric Office Technician plays a key role in the optometric practice assisting doctors during examinations and patient care. The position is focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience and fostering associate satisfaction.- Taking patient medical histories and preparing patients for examinations.
- Administering tests prior to eye exams.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and directing patients answering telephones updating electronic medical records obtaining insurance verification authorization adjusting scheduling for priority patients processing insurance claim forms patient billing optometric medical billing coding vision insurance billing coding accounts receivable accounts payable bookkeeping selling glasses contact lens supplies clinical skills can be learned on the job.
