    Endoscopy Assistant

    Description:

    The Endoscopy Assistant performs all duties promptly and in a competent manner according to the facilities policies and procedures.

    Identifies patients with two patient identifiers. Walks patients from waiting room to pre-operative area. Instructs patients on appropriate donning of patient gown. Covers patients with warm blankets, connects patients to#cardiac monitor and obtains vital signs. Reports any abnormal values to nurse. Brings patients# family members to bedside. Provides patients with drinks post-operatively Takes patient to their cars in wheel chairs. Cleans and makes up stretchers. Other duties assigned.
