Job description
Hoffmann Group USA is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for the Knoxville, TN office. The Finance Manager will provide support to the General Manager and oversee all areas of accounting, budgeting, cash management, tax compliance and financial reporting. Duties and Responsibilities:
General
- Oversight of all accounting processes
- Coordination of financial compliance with local and group standards
- Serve as key point of contact for finance, tax, controlling and legal responsibilities for internal and external stakeholders
Finance
- Liquidity management
- Cash flow monitoring and forecasting to ensure liquidity
- Ongoing evaluation of capital requirements
- Ongoing evaluation of capital requirements / collaboration with central treasury department in Germany to ensure liquidity
- Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments for potential acquisitions
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance during M&A transactions
Accounting
- Management of receivables and payables
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Ongoing process improvement based on regular inspection of internal processes and controlling measures
- Credit and collections management
- Management of employee expense reports
- Monthly reporting to German HQ based on German Local GAAP
Tax Compliance
- Responsibility for tax compliance and the implementation of changes in local tax legislation
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Implementation, execution and constant advancement of all tax related processes as governed by local legislation.
- Collaborate with headquarters on implementation of sales tax automation
- Coordinate with local tax advisor to ensure completion of annual income tax filings
Budgeting and Controlling
- Controlling and preparation of cash forecasts
- Preparation of annual budget in collaboration with management team
- Ensure departmental compliance with annual budgets
- Monthly reporting of actual results versus budget
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of multi-state tax filing
- Knowledge of SAP (esp. SAP FI, SAP BW, SAP SEM BCS) and Concur Expense
- Accuracy, precise adherence to deadlines, sophisticated understanding of figures, quick comprehension
- Extensive knowledge of local accounting and financial practices
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Self and project management capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills for the efficient utilization of resources, in view of the appropriate cost and effort
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in the field of finance and/or controlling
- Extensive tax background
- Preferred experience with mergers and acquisitions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80, $120,000.00 per year
