Description
Metrology Engineering Technicians perform metrology-related tasks to support experimental testing, research work, and defect excursion resolution. Some degree of judgment required in resolving nonstandard problems.
Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibilities are executed on the production floor.
• Image Review and die loss taking.
• Metrology inspections.
• Coordination and submission of Failure Analysis requests.
• A high level of attention to process parameter details required.
• Respond to real time process excursions, containing material and completing documentation with
details to publish to factory stakeholders.
• Highly matrixed environment interfacing with multiple development groups.
• Identifying areas of improvements in quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/ capability,
productivity, safety and/or ergonomics.
• Providing input to resolve difficult problems and efforts to establish systems to deal with these
problems in the future.
• Must maintain flexibility to shift assignments for critical build support or training needs.
• Must be flexible with changing priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.
The CWs will exhibit the following behavioral traits or/and skills:
• Work within a team to build shift priorities and deal with ambiguity.
• Demonstrate technical written and verbal communication skills
• Will have basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC)
Minimum Educational Requirement: BS degree preferred, HS diploma or Equivalent required.
