Job Description
Our client is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to join their team in Columbus, OH. This role is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in sourcing and fulfilling parts for multiple lines of equipment. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide parts pricing, availability, and technical information to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Respond promptly to parts requests from service technicians.
Efficiently manage multiple parts inventories across several equipment lines.
Receive, verify, and allocate daily and weekly parts orders to the appropriate bin location, customer, or service job.
Reconcile open purchase orders in a timely manner.
Fulfill and ship daily inventory orders accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized parts counter, storage area, and showroom displays.
Review service work orders to confirm correct parts usage and billing.
Support safety, organization, and cleanliness standards within the department.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service and/or sales.
Previous parts counter or dealership experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Computer proficiency; experience with dealership software is a plus.
