    PrideNow is hiring skilled Industrial Maintenance Electricians (Machine Repair) This is a direct hire opportunity with one of our HVAC manufacturing clients in Trenton, NJ.

    Pay: $29.25

    1st: 6am-2pm M-F

    2nd: 2pm-10pm M-F

    3rd: 10pm-6am (Sunday overnight-Thursday overnight)

    4th (Weekend Shift): Fri, Sat, Sun 6a-6pm- 3 12-hour shifts but paid for 40 hours

    Brief description and requirements:

    Must have journeymans papers or equivalent degree or Electrical license with 5 years of experience performing complex electrical work in industrial maintenance. Must demonstrate ability in performing complex electrical work in industrial maintenance.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Performs any combination of (but not limited to) the following duties according to specific department guidelines:
    • Determine the existence of electrical hazards and problems. Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs.
    • Have knowledge of and use the required personal protective equipment to protect against arc flash and shock.
    • Experience in reading and troubleshooting from blueprints & schematics with system voltages 240 and 480 three-phase systems.
    • Troubleshoot and maintain motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switchgear, protective relaying, and related equipment.
    • Read/interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate and maintain electrical apparatus. Work from complex engineering and manufacturers drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work.
    • Install electrical conduit, pull and terminate wiring.
    • Ability to use electrical/electronic testing equipment to such as multi-meters, ammeters, megohm meters, high potential testers, oscilloscopes, digital probes to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
    • Use hand and power tools related to the electrical trades.
    • Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels.
    • Install and maintain drive systems such as variable frequency drives, eddy current, and DC drives.
    • Install and maintain (point to point wiring, equipment replacement) programmable logic control systems (PLC).
    • Install and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and level controls.
    • Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments or modifications.
    • Design layout work on panels, set up complex control systems, interpret and alter engineering drawings and wiring diagrams if required.
    • Repair or replace faulty electrical equipment, including electronic controls, meters, outlets, panels and small mechanical devices such as motors.
    • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
    • Effectively communicate problems and solutions to resolve electrical problems.
    • Participate in the on-the-job training of line mechanics and apprentices as needed.
    • Use computerized maintenance system to retrieve and enter information.
    • Observe safe work practices and ensure work does not endanger others.
    • Perform other duties as required.
