    Sonic Healthcare USA is the largest medical laboratory in the world and third largest in the United States. As a company, we are shifting our focus to be a competitive player in technology.

    As part of this effort, we have created a web application called LabIS that will be the gold standard for workflow and information management in all of our lab operations.

    The Senior React Developer is part of the LabIS team.

    Challenges you can work on

    Greenfield development of an enterprise laboratory information system
    Developer for automated environment deployment solutions (Kubernetes, Jenkins, S3)
    Develop features that will drive our business through real-time feedback loops

    React, Bootstrap, JQuery, SAML, OIDC, Auth0, SCSS, CSS, Flexbox

    Responsibilities


    Planning and Design:
    Collaborate with peers and key stakeholders to create conceptual designs for new software applications and upgrades to existing software applications
    Comfortable with working in organizationally provided UI standards
    Assign complexity estimations to features

    Application Development & Testing:
    Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) practices to compose unit and integration tests, ensuring proper functionality and stability
    Develop and use code based on reusable components best practices
    Deliver clean, readable code that meets requirements
    Follow team standards for development practices
    Provide appropriate documentation of development work
    Collaborate with teammates on every task
    Subject all features to manual testing to ensure acceptance criteria are met with a focus on user experience
    Participate in peer review on every task

    Support and Maintenance:
    Work with support teams to understand and triage defects as they arise
    Participate in efforts to reduce technical debt
    Be available to address emergency issues in a 24/7 healthcare environment

    Culture and Team Development:
    Actively seek out opportunities to improve the team dynamic
    Maintain a focus on breaking down silos
    Foster an environment of fluid collaboration
    Ensure that all data communications are secure as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996
    Able to work in a highly secured development environment

    Requirements

    4+ years of React development experience
    Excellent problem solver, with a focus on team success
    Excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams
    Advanced knowledge of various SQL languages and Git

    Nice to haves

    Experience with Node
    Experience with NextJS
    Experience with React Native
    Experience with Docker
    Comfortable working in a Linux Environment
