Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, or a related field; one year of experience in delivering training programs; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. At least one year of experience with DD Residential Waiver practices and regulations preferred.
Working knowledge of methods, principles and techniques in development and implementation of education and training programs; of training resources and materials. Ability to design and deliver training programs; to manage multiple projects simultaneously; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Current valid driver's license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Record must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
This position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Duties
Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in providing training and training development services.
The Training Analyst also:
-Provides a variety of training and training services to DSP working in residential settings within the County
-Presents training, development, informational, and/or educational programs via classroom, workshop, or seminar using formal classroom instruction, exercises, handouts, materials, visual aids, etc. for group or one-on-one instruction
-Updates, adapts, and modifies workshops, established classes or a module of a course, focusing on subjects to meet operational training needs of a specific department or for a specific audience
-Develops or assists with the development of course content, modules, class outlines or lesson plans
-Assists with or performs routine training needs analysis; conducts pre assessments, and applies and interprets post training participant surveys and other assessment tools
-Plans training events, including securing coordination and commitment of specialty presenters, partner representatives, and others
