Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records, ensure accuracy in accounting processes, and support our organization's financial health. As a vital member of our finance department, you will handle a variety of bookkeeping tasks, maintain precise records, and contribute to the preparation of financial reports. Your expertise will help us uphold compliance with accounting standards and streamline our financial operations. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Record journal entries, including debits & credits, to maintain the integrity of financial data
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify financial statements align with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements and budget reports, supporting organizational decision-making
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with familiarity in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or governmental accounting environments
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation
- Proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms including QuickBooks Online.
- Understanding of GAAP standards and tax regulations relevant to bookkeeping practices
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently
- Ability to handle complex financial data with confidence and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a part-time schedule
