    Description


    As a Subcontracts Specialist Principal here at Honeywell, you will establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business leadership for your assigned commodity/category and/or region as per Annual Operating Plan.

    You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export/Import regulations.

    You will report directly to our Director Strategic Sourcing and you will work out of one of our Aerospace locations on a Hybrid work schedule.

    In this role, you will impact numerous things, including the evaluation of bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and program requirements.

    Your expertise in subcontract management will be crucial in identifying and resolving subcontract issues and developing mutually acceptable solutions.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for managing all subcontracts with suppliers that will provide products and services to support Government Unique and Commercial programs in Advanced Technologies.
    • Work with a sense of urgency; proactively engaged with the internal program office/contracts group and support lead Program Managers when dealing with matters of subcontractor cost, performance, and schedule
    • Administer existing subcontracts with interaction with Program, Project, and Cost/Estimating Teams
    • Maintain, analyze, and update subcontract records and support financial forecasting
    • Maintain an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on subcontract
    • Engage in regular communications with subcontractors; communicate supplier status during sustainment and supply chain meetings
    • Recognize and communicate subcontract issues; collaborate with Project Managers and Sourcing Team; facilitate meetings with subcontractors to ensure areas of concern are being addressed and performance issues resolved
    • Prepare, analyze, and evaluate bids and proposals to ensure they are compliant with company policy, program requirements, and department operating procedures
    • Provide leadership in the evaluation of single/sole source proposals as well as during the competitive source evaluation and selection process
    • Execute quick-react requirements identified by the program team in accordance with supply chain management direction
    • Respond to data calls and support all internal and external audit activities
    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • 6+ years of procurement/subcontracts administration
    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
    • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Familiarity with procurement software and tools

    WE VALUE

    • Bachelor or MBA preferred
    • Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of program lifecycle
    • Experience utilizing MS Office Suite, SAP, and other business tools used in the execution of subcontracts management activities
    • Strong organizational skills
