    About the Role:

    Reporting directly to the Assistant Director, Business Intelligence the Data Engineer, Business Intelligence is an important member of the BI team central to our ability to extract, transform and load data from AAAHC proprietary software applications generating useful data sets and designing dashboards, reports and data streams necessary to meet business requirements. This includes gathering and interpreting data requirements, research and analysis, business design, data mapping, partnering with technology to develop data flow, and performing business testing. This position will be exposed to multiple data sources to align information with the business of AAAHC.

    Transform data into insight that can help to improve the value of the business—guide operations, inform and validate business decisions, and increase value for our clients and regulatory partners.

    • Determine data structure that integrates information from core operating systems—Accreditation Management System (AMS; legacy and new applications), Financial Management System (FMS), Learning Management System, and Website
    • Design and generate dashboards and ad hoc/routine reports through BI office applications and interfaces with AAAHC core systems that improve business processes and decisions for both AAAHC and our key clients. Transform AMS and other system data into reports and data streams that fulfill AAAHC contractual requirements/agreements for CMS, State agencies, and key client groups.
      1. Collaborate with team members on translating business needs into data solutions including data collection/source identification, data selection criteria/filters, solution design, etc.
      2. Define data values, manage obsolete data, and coordinate user access.
      3. Organize data into appropriate file structures using defined standards.
      4. Integrate multiple data structures into common interrelational database structures.
      5. Validate that data structures are assembled and linked correctly.
      6. Optimize data structures for efficient end-user querying and analysis.
    • Perform routine data analysis on large data sets.
    • Develop User instruction documentation for accessing data solutions.
    • Provide operational support in a variety of capacities including data integrity, quality assurance, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Support, monitor, and maintain data warehouse, monitor trends and performance.
    • Create and maintain documentation that includes design, requirements, report/dashboard standards, report generation processes, programming procedures and code for repeat usage, and BI user manuals for the organization
