- Leads component, module, and system level design activities.
- Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flowdown.
- Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
- Manages interface between design, systems, and execution organizations.
- Establishes product requirements (internal and external), defines components and sub systems making up the overall architecture. Provides forward looking strategy for platforms and technology development / insertion to make product competitive. Defines and provides scope management. (defines the what)
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 6 years of mechanical design or systems integration experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Aerospace or equivalent industry.
- Minimum of 6 years of gearbox and lube system development experience
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Exposure to aviation engine design or certification requirements
- 10 years of experience in design/development of turbomachinery
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Communicate and coordinate clearly with internal and external partners. Communicate concisely and appropriately with both internal and external senior leadership teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Passionate about giving & receiving mentorship.
- Prior experience working with global cross-functional teams.
- Able to work both in a global team and individually. 10 years of experience in an Engineering position, especially with global and crossfunctional teams. Ability to guide and influence others.

Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.
