    Job Summary:
    The Director of Organizational
    Giving is part of a wider Development Team charged
    with setting and reaching fundraising targets, executing on donor
    event strategies, and developing individual fundraising plans for
    current and prospective supporters in their donor portfolios. Both
    team and individual success requires implementation and execution
    of a 'moves management' strategy to identify, cultivate, and
    solicit supporters capable of making seven-figure gifts and beyond.
    This individual will report to the Director of Development.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    3-5 direct reports.


    Duties/Responsibilities:
    Drive moves management strategy toward increasing the
    Institute's transformational gifts by working with the C-suite and
    Director of Development, to establish and execute on fundraising
    goals to attain revenue targets.

    Oversee Major Gifts department, partnering with the team to set
    clear goals and expectations that align with the fundraising
    strategy and provide regular feedback and coaching that supports
    high performance and employee growth.

    Manage a portfolio of approximately 75 major and mega donor
    supporters and prospects (valuing roughly seven- to eight-figures),
    set fundraising strategies, and execute on each.

    Attend face-to-face donor meetings, high-profile donor meetings
    alongside the CEO and President, and collaborate on donor events
    throughout the year.

    30-40% travel required for this role.

    Creatively and strategically form donor pitches for
    eight-figure+ gifts and editing proposals when needed.

    Identify and qualify major and transformational giving
    potential of prospective high-capacity donors and enhance gifting
    abilities through establishing, forging, and strengthening
    meaningful relationships by keeping donors' intent and the best
    interest of IHS at the forefront of fundraising efforts.

    Work with other Development Team members to integrate
    fundraising strategies across Communications and Marketing
    (including Direct Mail), Foundations Management, and Donor
    Events.

    Required Skills/Qualifications:

    4+ years of major and/or transformational gifts fundraising (or
    related experience) with a demonstrated track record of building
    relationships and closing six- and seven-figure gifts.

    Significant experience managing and developing teams.

    Planned giving knowledge and experience is helpful.

    A passion for the vision and work of IHS, and an ability to
    communicate that vision in a way that inspires and connects with
    donors' respective philanthropic goals.

    Strong drive and initiative, demonstrated experience building
    external relationships, keen attention to the donor experience, and
    a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

    Proven capability to drive a technology-savvy and data-driven
    approach, with experience setting and tracking key performance
    metrics within a CRM system.

    Salesforce experience preferred.
