    seeks a Engineering Technician to support Code34
    The position requires working on site onboard the Naval Underwater Warfare Center Campus in Newport RI

    Duties:

    • Providing engineering technical and logistics support to the National Maintenance Fleet Support Branch head at the Naval Underwater Warfare Center, code 34.
    • Responsible for all Engineering and ILS tasking assigned to the onsite contractor.
    • Able to interpret and comprehend all technical drawings, schematics and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) applicable to the Imaging suite.
    • Actively participate and contribute to all Production Meeting Briefs held by the National Maintenance and Fleet Support Branch
    Provide any technical input assigned during each meeting.


    • Be prepared to discuss assigned technical research action assigned with the TEAM Lead.
    • Interfacing with government technical project managers to ensure support provided meets or exceeds all work performance objectives and standards.
    • Must have the flexibility in writing style to adapt to the different types of formats and subject material being produced.
    • Analyze existing local and higher-echelon procedures to ensure concept is compliant with formal content policies.
    • Recommending process improvements with specification and procedural boundaries to achieve efficiencies and cost savings

    Preferred Education:

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering discipline
    BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred

    Preferred Experience:

    • 3+ years of relevant experience directly related experience with the U.S
    Submarine Imaging suite.


    • Prior experience supporting NUWC Newport or other DoD entity in a similar role is highly desired.
    • Experience with the configurations of submarine Imaging platform
    Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
