The Digital Content Coordinator cares for the programming and editorial integrity of , the Raiders app, YouTube, the Raiders Podcast Network and the contents therein. The role is focused on the quality and quantity of the content that helps maintain a best-in-class status for the brand. Attention to detail, accuracy and collaboration are key traits to be successful in this role.
Essential Job Functions
- Administrating the daily publishing and curating of content to digital platforms, including , the Raiders' app, YouTube, the Raiders Podcast Network and more.
- Assist with programming the Raiders' app to leverage push notifications and content placements to drive fan engagement.
- Managing interior pages, such as the team roster, player and coach bios, the depth chart, the injury report, transactions, All-Time Roster and more.
- Maintaining the overall integrity of and its contents through backreading, editing and polishing.
- Write accurate headlines and descriptions for videos and podcasts.
- Providing backend support for livestreams to , Raiders' app and across social platforms.
- Facilitating the tracking of content series and inventory, and by extension, their distribution across the Raiders' digital platforms. This could include photos, videos, podcasts, articles and more.
- Participate with teams internally and externally in the creation and distribution of content that best activates new audiences.
- Maintain strong understanding and journalistic sensibility when it comes to Raider news
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of digital media experience required.
- Experience with a Content Management System (CMS) required.
- Sports experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of football preferred.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks during a typical workday. In sports, this may translate to non-traditional hours.
- Strong grammar knowledge, including AP Style.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and optimization.
- Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):
- Sitting for long periods of time throughout shift
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25lbs
- Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
