    Job Description:

    Oversees the daily operations of clinical staff across our northern locations and works closely with the front office manager to ensure a safe, productive and efficient environment for patients, visitors, providers, and staff.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Develops and maintains professional relationships with internal & external staff/teams/contacts/patients.
    • Routinely meets with staff / leads / Front Office Manager to review/discuss clinic operations status/needs/issues.
    • Monitors treatment/provider/lab schedules daily for appropriate distribution and for add-on patient visits.
    • Assesses staffing needs, determines the adequate number of personnel needed to provide safe, high-quality patient care.
    • Develops and distributes staff schedules based on daily/weekly/monthly visit schedules.
    • Regularly audits clinic workflows to assure processes are in place and functioning as expected to meet industry standards, as well as those of all regulatory and or accrediting agencies.
    • Maintains competency in and performs clinical duties as necessary, which includes but is not limited to the essential job functions of clinical direct report roles: RN, Triage, Medical Assistant, etc.
    • Inventories patient education materials, ordering additional material when necessary to assure adequate and appropriate materials are available at all times.
    • Conducts monthly staff meetings.
    • Delegates tasks and assignments to appropriate staff, follows up on delegated items to assure they are completed on time and as expected.
    • Monitors and approves staff timecard and time off requests.
    • Participates in/manages interview, hiring, onboarding, discipline, termination processes.
    • Supports and develops clinical staff to optimize their desire and ability to meet or exceed performance expectations. Mentors, coaches, counsels and or creates /implements developmental or performance improvement plans as appropriate.
    • Completes annual staff performance evaluations by assigned due date.
    • Assures all assigned individual & staff competencies /continuing education modules are completed on time.
    • Participates in meetings/projects/ committees as needed/ requested.
    Requirements
    • Current RN license and BSN required.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience as a registered nurse in oncology; two years supervisory experience preferred.
    • BLS required.
    • Must be willing and able to travel to all office sites.
    • Strong organizational and written / verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of current developments in /standards for cancer diagnosis/oncology practices/ treatments.
    • Ability to multi-task and cope with a high demand workload.
    • Ability to empathize with patients and families and to deal with challenging patient/visitor interactions, as needed.
    • Ability to collaborate with health care team to optimize patient and employee experience.
