    Position Overview:

    The Manager, Contracts, will report to the Associate Director of Contracts and Vendor Management. This position is a team member of the Contracts team, collaborating with multiple departments and teams within the organization to produce contractual study-related legal documents as requested. The role requires the ability to work under pressure, efficiently manage challenging deadlines, and handle a consistently high-volume workload. As a single point of contact during the contract development process, the Manager will interact with internal staff, as well as client contacts. This role will also be the direct manager for the global Contracts team.

    The preferred working hours for this role will be 8-5:30 pm Eastern. This role can be based remotely within the US.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution.
    • Manage the development and maintenance of contracts such as Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Scopes of Work, and Change Orders.
    • Exercise excellent judgement skills and experience to review and analyze contract requests, including proposals, quotes, and other significant matters, to ensure receipt of adequate and correct information for developing the necessary contractual document.
    • Negotiate Statement of Works and Change Orders with minimal management support, if required.
    • Act as the primary support and contact for assigned contract deliverables, including subsequent revisions upon request.
    • Follow-up on outstanding contract issues for resolution to meet internal and external deadlines and monthly revenue targeted goals.
    • Contribute to process improvements by maintaining and updating internal and client-specific templates for all contracts, as needed.
    • Adhere to policies and procedures for contract development and client interaction, including managing timelines to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
    • Perform data entry into Salesforce.
    • Manage the allocation of work for the entire Contracts team.
    • Conduct audits of executed contracts and report findings.
    • Manage workload to meet requested deadlines.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

    Experience:

    • 7-10 years of experience managing the contract process from start to finish.
    • Ability to develop contractual documents a plus.
    • Prior management experience of a global team is highly desired.
    • Demonstrated efficiency through meticulous organizational skills, including the ability to manage a variety of projects and ongoing negotiations concurrently.
    • Advanced MS Suite knowledge.
    • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems (Conga) preferred.
    • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and eSignature platforms (Salesforce and DocuSign) preferred.
