    South Ogden City is seeking a skilled professional for the position of Communications and Events Specialist. This position takes ownership of the City's social media presence and positions the City as a resource for residents and businesses and implements larger public relations and social media campaigns designed to enhance the City's image. The position Supports and administers the City's brand and works with departments and city employees to make sure all employees act as ambassadors of the city's brand. Incumbents create and/or capitalize on opportunities to promote the City, City brand, City operations and City services. Incumbents in this position perform a variety of professional, administrative, managerial, and technical duties related to the organizing, directing, and controlling outcomes for all city special events and works with businesses and residents of the city. Applicants for this position must be able to work some evenings, some weekends and some holidays.

    This position requires a bachelor's degree in communications or a related field or equivalent experience and 2 years of experience performing related duties.

    The starting hourly wage for this position is $ $29.85 per hour based upon experience and qualifications plus an excellent benefits package.
