- Receives and logs all incoming tissue and implants
- Maintains chain of custody and disposition documentation and ensures device tracking information is submitted to vendors when required by law
- Assist Materials Management to establish and adjust par levels as necessary.
- Maintains all data pertaining to trackable tissue according to FDA standards in tissue management software/other applicable areas.
- Maintains temperature and humidity equipment and logs through the electronic temperature tracking system and in the perioperative setting.
- Participates in expired checks for all materials in the OR.
- Coordinates tissue management as needed with applicable vendors.
- Works in conjunction with OR Service Coordinators to ensure relevant items are available for surgical cases.
- All other assigned duties related to implants, supplies, stocking, receiving, or Materials Management
- High School Diploma or GED
- +2 years of experience working as a Surgical Technician and/or in a clinical setting
- Understanding of materials management related to inventory control, counts, purchasing, and delivery helpful
- Ability to negotiate contracts
- Computer skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (including, but not limited to, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), Cerner, IDX, and other applicable hospital-based programs as they pertain to the required job duties.
