    THE PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM

    What does success look like in this role?

    • Own the deal pipeline, leveraging partners and advisors as needed.
    • Collaborate with partners and advisors to drive deals to LOI stage.
    • Lead due diligence execution.
    • Progress to leading end-to-end deals within a few years.

    THE ROLE

    The day-to-day role for this position will include the following tasks:

    • Maintains continuous deal flow through proactive sourcing efforts.
    • Engages founders and CEOs creatively to secure meetings.
    • Identifies critical diligence questions and ensures efficient execution.
    • Manages third-party contributors and presents findings effectively.
    • Represent the PE firm in early-stage meetings and develop relationships with entrepreneurs.
    • Manages pipeline momentum and leverages key advisors.
    • Drives deal flow by building investment theses and developing a prospect pipeline.
    • Plays a pivotal role in deal diligence and execution, collaborating closely with the Managing Director and advisors.

    YOUR BACKGROUND

    The successful individual will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

    • 3+ years in defense or government-related sectors, including roles in investing, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development.
    • Direct experience in government/defense technology preferred, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
    • Understanding of government procurement processes and the business model of contractors and vendors.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with US government stakeholders and comprehend government terminology.
    • Direct military operational experience to provide insights into defense technology usage and identify risks (preference)
    • Strong proficiency in Excel, finance, modeling, and data analysis.
    • Demonstrates a passion for the mission, maintaining an evidence-based approach, and adeptly handling ambiguity.
