Psychiatric Prescriber/ARNP
LWC is seeking a psychiatric prescriber to join our team. The Psychiatric Prescriber/ARNP is responsible for providing psychiatric and pharmacological management services to LWC clients including diagnoses, prescription of medication, monitoring medication side effects and participation in the treatment process.
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a psychiatric ARNP degree. Must be licensed as a registered nurse per Washington State RCW and have at least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting. Must have strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences, and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services. Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential. Must have valid driver's license for the state of WA.
Good organizational skills; Good verbal, written communication skills, and computer skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Ability to work cooperatively in a team approach; Ability to apply a Recovery based approach and to apply clinical knowledge; Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion; Visual and auditory skills required to communicate, to ensure and deliver client care, and to provide legal documentation of care; Requires frequent standing, bending at the knees and waist, kneeling and reaching; Requires frequent walking to accomplish tasks; Requires ability to lift 30 pounds.
